A preview of the 2024 Season 1 racing!

Hello Race Fans!

Dan here, and today I want to take you through a preview of things to come as we head into our first full season of racing at SGP Racing, the changes we have coming up, and some amazing race meetings that we have lined up for you, including new ranked series on Automobilista 2, a single make challenge, taking inspiration from the amazing team at iRacing and stretching those legs with the introduction of SGP Racing Sprints and Elites!

Leading up to the New Year

As we head into the end of 2023, our world famous, 10 Days of Christmas event will be back for its first year here with us at SGP Racing, after proving super popular with our team at ACCSimSeries.

With events across Wreckfest, Forza Motorsport, F1 2023, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Gareth's Assetto Corsa Party Night you are in store for some amazing fun over the holiday period! The Solo Endurance Trophy will be contested on the 21st December on Assetto Corsa Competizione, with THE ICE RINK making its return on the 28th of December! We will have a Nordschleife Praga Party on Raceroom opening the show on the 18th December. All specific race details will come via the SGP Discord in the next few days!

iGT4 Championship starting 05-Jan-2024

Entering 2024

Our drivers have had great success with the SGP Racing Rookies series over the past 8 weeks, using this series to move on from their rookie safety licenses and progressing into bronze and silver categories! Racing starts for those drivers with the SGP Racing Sprint series starting in the new year! This will be the springboard to the ultimate test of your racing skill in the SGP Racing Elites series coming in Season 2 of the 2024 year where we will have racing for some amazing prizes up for grabs, so make sure you work towards your Silver, Gold and Platinum Licenses! These series will run on Raceroom, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione with more details to follow in the week

Automobilista 2 is progressing better than expected, and our team is putting the bells and whistles into making this a rankable title in the near future. The minute that is live, the SGP Racing Rookies series will start on AMS2 for its first season!

Our team of community managers will also be putting on some amazing one-off events on the weekends and our Friday night championship will return with a new challenge, iGT4, hits the track on the first Friday of the year, with 5 rounds of GT4 racing taking place across all 4 intercontinental GT tracks with Spa thrown in for good measure on Assetto Corsa Competizione!

Inspired by what is around us!

We all know how popular iRacing is, and those die hard fans of sim racing will have come across its many series and challenges along their sim racing journey, myself included. I have found a fondness for their amazing ‘RingMeister’ series over the past few weeks and want to take the challenge of bringing this format to the titles we support.

Starting in the new year, we will introduce 2 new series! Firstly the SGPLN will be a weekly race featuring 4 challenging classes over 8 weeks of racing. Assetto Corsa, Raceroom and Automobilista 2 will each feature its own SGPLN series with classes including the Mazda MX5, a chosen Cup car, alongside GT4 and GT3 machinery. Each sim will race on a certain day, and the events will consist of a 3 lap showdown, with no qualifying session.

Each season we will also be crowning a King of the Ring! A new, single-make, series, where each week, drivers will face a new challenge in the machinery available earning points over an 8 week leaderboard for each sim!

All this builds into the new year, with Assetto Corsa Competizione being added to our roster of Nordschleife events as soon as it becomes available within the title

As this is an overview, all specific information will come via the SGP Discord and Social Media channels over the next few days and weeks, with links and breakdowns of race formats on those channels, so stay tuned to our channels for more details!

We look forward to having you on track with us over the holiday period, and into 2024!
