Here’s how you set up a team event in SGP
Step 1 - Select team event
Go to your community events page. The “NEW EVENT” button has a drop down arrow to the right hand side. Click this arrow to reveal the “NEW TEAM EVENT” button.
Step 2 - Configure your event
For the next step configure your event just like you would normally. The only difference is the “Team rules” tab which we will look at in the next step.
Step 3 - Configure team rules
Clicking on the “Team rules” reveals specific team based rules specific to ACC team events. In the following example we are applying typical choices for a 9 hour race.
Team driver settings:
Min team drivers = The minimum number of drivers a team must have to compete
Max team drivers = The maximum number of drivers can include in their team
Note 1 - The maximum number of drivers a team can have is five.
Note 2 - Teams can enter the race with fewer than the specified number of minimum drivers but ACC gives these teams a penalty at the end of the race.
Mandatory driver swap = The team must swap drivers each time the team pits.
Enable timing rules = Allows further settings to control how long drivers are allowed to drive for in total and in a single stint.
Note - You can only activate these settings when the minimum number of drivers per team is set to at least two.
Max driving time in seconds = The maximum amount any single can drive in the race
Stint time in seconds = The maximum amount any single driver can race in a single stint
In the example below we have set max driving time to 15,600 seconds, or 4 hours and 20 minutes and the stint time is 3,900 seconds, or 65 mins.
